laptop:

Pentium M745, 1gb, ati 9700 mobile with 128mb ram.
HD 7200 tpm with 8mb cache and NO mouse (but a touchpad - singlepoint).
2 miserables built in speakers, that delivers stereo.

And a parallel port. It is noticeable, yes, on a laptop. Same with my usb2 port, i have one and i'm happy (careful the others are in usb1).

I have a few systems, but this is the one I use the most:

Intel Core2 Quad CPU 2.33Ghz
6Gb Ram
640Gb internal HD
18x DVD±RW Double/Dual Layer Drive w/LiteScribe
BFG GeForce 9800GT 1Gb DDR3
Samsung SyncMaster T220
Realtek High Definition Audio 7.1

It's a balance of high performance and energy efficiency. :D

USB stuff (8 ports on PC):

1Tb Cavalry (WD) external HD
120Gb Memorex Ultra Traveldrive external HD
16x Lite-On DVD±RW Double/Dual Layer external Drive
M-Audio external MIDI

Yeah, that's a lie. Unless your motherboard has 5 RAM slots, which is unlikely, as most only have 4, and you can't buy 2.5Gb sticks. So try again.
I doubt you've got a 66" screen (please prove me wrong and do a print-screen of your system specs)
Processor I can't agrue with, and vista? Which one? :)

My specs are shit atm.. I upgraded last year for a uni (NON gamer machine) - My main PC has:

2.7GHz (OCd) AMD Dual core.
2Gb Ram
22" LG 720i (1650x1080) monitor (I had a dual monitor setup, other was a 19" Samsung, but I binned it)
Microsoft Vista: Business Edition, 32 bit.
XFX Motherboard
8200 GT and 8500 GT graphic cards inside.
540Gb Samsung drive (primary)
640gb Maxtor drive (secondary - replacing it - is an old external one which blew)
2.1 LG Surround sound (bday gift from GF) with 7.1 support on motherboard

Am upgrading when I get my loan to this:

Quad Core AMD (2.6Ghz, going to OC to 2.8 or 3.0)
4GB-8GB RAM (Dead cheap in the UK, probably 1066)
Microsoft Vista Business Edition 64x or Windows 7 Business 64x
Not sure on the GFX card, probably a 4870 ATI or 2nd gen Nvid card.
1tb internal secondary drive
1tb external drive

Not sure what else I'll do with it, as I like my monitor... and I'm not wasting £300 on a 7.1 system, uni would kill me

Not necessarily:

My system has 4 memory slots divided into two memory banks,
One 4Gb bank (2 slots x 2Gb each)
One 2Gb bank (2 slots x 1Gb each)
giving me 6Gb total in 4 slots.

So FinalFury might have,
One 8Gb bank (2 slots x 4Gb each)
One 2Gb bank (2 slots x 1Gb each)
giving FinalFury 10Gb total in 4 slots.

It's not a common configuration, but it's also not impossible.

Aye! I realised last night, I was being daft. 10Gig is a weird config though, surely you'd go 8 or 12 just to make the RAM utilised? o_O 10gb is really bad mixing. You'd want each module to have the same amount idealy!
