Acuity and Hybrids

Postby Tolakram » Sat Jan 30, 2010 3:31 pm

Did Mythic change it so Acuity effects hybrids?

Problem: Archers can gain dex by using +acuity items. I'm removing this, but there is a comment in the code that indicates only list casters can benefit from acuity. Doing a google search tells me this is in fact the case, that only list casters will benefit from acuity items.

Was this changed? Otherwise I'm going to simply add a check for list casters when testing the acuity bonus in the stat calculator.

Woops,

found the change.

- Acuity - This bonus will increase your casting stat, whatever your casting stat happens to be. If you're a druid, you should get an increase to empathy, while a bard should get an increase to charisma.

Sounds like you may have this all correct but here is where I think some of the confusion on this tends to come from:

Only list casters should be affected by acuity BUFFS.

Hybrids should be affected by acuity on items though and aug acuity which wasn't working at one point though it may have been fixed.

At least that was way it worked last I played live and the whole time I played live. My first character was a druid and one of her first ras was to get aug acuity, it was required to get serenity back before the ra revamp.

Dex is not acuity when it comes to archers though it is their "acuity" stat for purposes of calculation damage.

Acuity Stat -
From Items
It effect Int, Pie, Cha, or Emp
It only effects 1 stat.
Hybrids it is the stat of the magic for the hybrid.
Tanks have no effect
Casters is there caster stat.

Acuity from Buff Castable by Druids/Clerics/Shammys-
Effects only Int, Pie, Char, or Emp based on the class of the caster
Only effects Casters!
Does not effect Hybrids
Does not effect Tanks!

Acuity buff From RvR Pot that effects group recieved out of keep take keys/chests
I also believe it stacks with the stat listed above
Effects All Stats Int, Pie, Char, or Emp
Effects Casters!
AND! effects Hybrids!
And Tanks (but stats is useless)

Hope this helps

the hybrids one does, i know atm if u get Aug acuity on a player example "Shaman" it doesn't show ur stats increase unless u /player info them ur stats can say 300 with aug acu 4 or 5 but to a admin/gm with player info it will show 334 348.....haven't really went into why this happens nor haven't check if this is still a bug since roughly 1month ago ill test it in a few, as for the grp pot shit ive never used one but that sounds interesting i will certainly investigate it or if more people give more input that this is a fact (no offense crazys i trust u but like more opinions than 1 <3 ) i will or im sure someone else will make a new acuity handler (that links to the current one) and handle it to effect hybrids

BTW by hybrids that include champs? like how far does the category go?
