Server Group Changes

To simplify DAOC Portal the amount of groups have changed to two.

Supporting and Non Supporting.

For a server to be displayed on Supporting they will have had to contribute to SVN during the past month.

I've also decreased the xml cache time from 5 minutes to 1.

Nice changes, I like them.

But also, what about donating $5 a month or something to be Supporting? Some people just want to have a server up and don't have time to learn to code etc.. plus the extra revenue generated by it can help DOL

no, we are tolerated by mythic, and going into such systems is not fair.

The server list has nothing to do with Mythic though does it? :S

I know about copyright laws, just I really doubt Mythic cares about DOL anymore.. live has what.. about 5k subs now?..

We will never charge or make money off mythics intellectual property, this is a non profit organisation with donated server hardware and domains.

Thank you Tom, i'm simply astonished some people are not aware of this.

Even if the project was not commercialy exploited by its owners (and it is, obviously), there are intellectual rights on it.

That's enough. Please stay on topic here. This issue has been well discussed previously and I do not see the need to further beat a dead horse. And you are now hijacking other threads to beat that dead horse with. If you are posting to this thread it is to discuss the server group changes only, please.
