Yea I did play it for several months in beta; TBH I suppose its my own fault; but I keep trying to compare it to old school pre-cu & NGE star wars galaxies.

I just couldn't get into it.
Thanks,

I didn't buy it intentionally, wife would kill me if I picked up another long term MMO habit. She bought me Skyrim for Christmas, so i'm good for now.....although I really want to try this one!

Skyrim is a gateway game.

Witcher 2 is incredible - and in my opinion, a lot more fun than Skyrim. I just found the story alot more engaging; I think Skyrim suffers from feature creep, the world is huge but that means you can end up spending hours grinding bandits trying to stumble on some quest or dragon wall

A guy here at work is playing Skyrim and loves it for just that reason, you really feel like you have to work your way through the world to gain things, and the sense of accomplishment that comes with that. Doesn't sound like my kind of game. I'll have to look into Witcher 2, so far I've ignored both of them.

Just checked GOG ... I own the Witcher, never downloaded. Maybe I should play it sometime, then try Witcher 2.

That's what I was thinking with the obvious console-port menus. The arrow to the knee comment and the fact that they're horrible. You would think with the experience Bethesda has had with PC-gaming that they would be able to invent better menus for the PC version. Fans will have to invent mods to fix the developers' laziness. And, that's my big problem with Skyrim. It gets "perfect" reviews, but it isn't perfect. Just my opinion, but I don't enjoy it all that much. And the grind makes me feel like I'm in an even worse state than... [insert free grinding MMORPG here].

As for Star Wars, just hope it isn't another Star trek Online! :P
There's a consciousness in the netspace, eating your bits and bytes. It's probably not me, but I forgot to remember to forget if that's true or not. If it calms you, it is most likely not benevolent or malicious. I can't even remember my name. Does it start with a letter? I can't quite prove this...

Reviews from big places are never to be trusted as they can just be paid to give good ones.
