New D2 Skill Lines

So I have suggested a couple additional/modified skill lines so I wanted to collect them all here and include some other ones that I have been thinking about:


Spell Amplification: Adds a Radius to all non-damaging spells; Increases their effectiveness; and their duration. (Roots, Mezes, Stuns, Debuffs, Heals, Buffs etc.) (Essentially: +Radius, +X% Duration, +X% Debuff/Buff Effectiveness, +X% Healing Effectiveness)
Given too: Casters, Healers, Champion
Lv 1-9: +300 Radius, +20%
Lv 10-19: +400 Radius, +40%
Lv 20-29: +500 Radius, +60%
Lv 30-39: +600 Radius, +80%
Lv 40-49: +700 Radius, +100%
Lv 50-59: +800 Radius, +120%
Lv 60-69: +900 Radius, +140%
Lv 70-79: +1000 Radius, +160%
Lv 80+: +1100 Radius, +180%


Stamina Shield: Similar to Mana Shield, but uses Endurance Instead.
Given to: Tanks, Stealthers
Stamina Shield reduces damage while using endurance.
Damage reduction is damage * (1/skill level), endurance usage is (skill level/5). For example: Stamina Shield trained to level 25 will reduce 100 damage to 4 while using 5 endurance.
Stamina Shield ignores training above level 50
Stamina Shield has no effect if the caster does not have enough endurance.
Stamina Shield is less effective if the attacker is higher con than the caster.


Rage: Increases Damage the lower the users's health.
Given too: Beserker, Blademaster, Mercenary, Savage
Lv 1-9: -1% Health = +0.5% DPS
Lv 10-19: -1% Health = +1% DPS
Lv 20-29: -1% Health = +1.5% DPS
Lv 30-39: -1% Health = +2% DPS
Lv 40-49: -1% Health = +2.5% DPS
Lv 50-59: -1% Health = +3% DPS
Lv 60-69: -1% Health = +3.5% DPS
Lv 70+: -1% Health = +4% DPS


Vanishing Blow: Grants % Chance to Stealth; granting a 1 second damage immunity and disarming the caster for 1 second. (Should be a self-buff or a toggle, so it can be turned off)
Given to: Assassins, Archers, & Minstrels.
Lv 1-9: 10%
Lv 10-19: 20%
Lv 20-29: 30%
Lv 30-39: 40%
Lv 40-49: 50%
Lv 50-59: 60%
Lv 60-69: 70%
Lv 70-79: 80%
Lv 80: 100%


Magicblade: Adds PBAE Magic Damage to all Melee Attacks (Similar to Blizzard Blade but applies to all styles)
Given to: Champion, Heretic, Thane, Healer, Minstrel, Skald, Bard, Friar, Warden, Vampiir, Valewalker (Pending nerf), Mauler, Valkyrie (Instead of Enhanced Zeal), & any other Melee/Magic Hybrid.
Lv 1-9: 150 Radius; 15 Damage
Lv 10-19: 175 Radius; 30 Damage
Lv 20-29: 200 Radius; 45 Damage
Lv 30-39: 225 Radius; 60 Damage
Lv 40-49: 250 Radius; 75 Damage
Lv 50-59: 275 Radius; 90 Damage
Lv 60-69: 300 Radius; 105 Damage
Lv 70-79: 325 Radius; 120 Damage
Lv 80: 350 Radius; 135 Damage


Chant Acceleration: Increases the effectiveness, radius (making them affect all people near them), and frequency of Chants/Songs, in addition to making them no longer require an instrument and allowing multiple songs/chants to spec at higher levels.
Given to: Bard, Minstrel, Skald, Paladin, & Warden
Lv 1-9: 400 Radius; +25% Effectiveness; 8sec Frequency; Songs Do Not Require Instruments
Lv 10-19: 600 Radius; +50% Effectiveness; 7sec Frequency
Lv 20-29: 800 Radius; +75% Effectiveness; 6sec Frequency
Lv 30-39: 1000 Radius; +100% Effectiveness; 5sec Frequency; +1 Additional Chant/Song
Lv 40-49: 1200 Radius; +125% Effectiveness; 4sec Frequency
Lv 50-59: 1400 Radius; +150% Effectiveness; 3sec Frequency
Lv 60-69: 1600 Radius; +175% Effectiveness; 2sec Frequency
Lv 70+: 2000 Radius; +200% Effectiveness; 1sec Frequency; +1 More Additional Chant/Song



Twister: Strikes a Random Mob Dealing Damage & Causing Erosion which repeats the damage each second for the listed duration.
Given to: Healing Classes
Lv 1-9: 300 Radius; 2 Seconds; Hits 2 Random Targets
Lv 10-19: 400 Radius; 3 Seconds; Hits 3 Random Targets
Lv 20-29: 500 Radius; 4 Seconds; Hits 4 Random Targets
Lv 30-39: 600 Radius; 5 Seconds; Hits 5 Random Targets
Lv 40-49: 700 Radius; 6 Seconds; Hits 6 Random Targets
Lv 50-59: 800 Radius; 7 seconds; Hits 7 Random Targets
Lv 60+: 900 Radius; 8 Seconds; Hits 8 Random Targets

Let me know if any of these abilities need any bit of explanation; for instance the stealther ability might sound confusing at first; but despite a brief (1 second) disarming, more damage comes from critical strikes and shock & awe, so this ability would be very beneficial.

I think a couple classes should have old D2 Skill Lines removed in Lieu of the new ones that fit their class better...


Replace an Old D2 Line with a New One:

Stamina Shield should be given to all tanks and stealthers, replacing Mana Shield, if it already exists on the character. (Effects: Valkyrie, Reaver, Champion, Thane, Minstrel, & Skald)

Magicblade should be given to all Hybrid Tanks, replacing the enhanced version of zeal, and coexisting with D2 AOE abilities; such as Zeal, Shock & Awe, and Twister. (Effects: Valkyrie & Mauler)

Rage should be given too light tanks instead of shock and awe; allowing them to perform massive damage (when injured) with zeal. (Effects: Beserker, Blademaster, Mercenary, & Savage)
