the path doesn't really matter could be also copy the rest ya said does ^^ like i got somewhere else cuz i copied from harddrive ^^There is something wrong with your client. I use Windows 7 64bit myself and it works fine. Like Tola said make sure you run the portal with admin permissions. I don't know exactly whats wrong about your client but there is. You can tell because on the portal in the image of your portal settings you posted, under client info it says "Invalid". When I checked what mine says in that same spot in the settings, it says "US LABYRINTH". So the portal is having a hard time detecting what client you have, that tells me you have something wrong with your client. Where and how exactly did you obtain and patch the client you have? Is it EU or US? Is it Labyrinth? Your client's installation path also seems odd. Your path is "D:\Games\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot\" and my path says "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Labyrinth". So something is very different about your client and I'm guessing that is the problem.
Yeah, I wasn't saying necessarily that the path was the problem, just pointing out that it's different then what I had, supporting my theory that it's something to do with his client.the path doesn't really matter
if you're having the problem where "the directory path is invalid"; something along those lines, run DAoC Portal as adminHello all!
I've got the same or a similar problem as well. I installed the game by a disc from my brother. its the collection 5th aniversary with the latest LotM expansion included. I've also got a daocportal client however this client is unable to find the original daoc client! ill pass you a scrrenshot later on. Just for your info I can't patch the original daoc client so I'm afraid the game client has got a problem but I just can't figure out which. on my old pc it was working very well. problems occured on this one (using win7) and on my GF's pc (with vista).
Please help me with this issue!
thank you in advance!
