LO,
I have systematicaly a pb connection on may lan between server and client.
The message on server is :
"Player ... went linkdead!"
I try several version, it's always same message.

I got this same error like a hundred times, lol made me so mad. Now I am on someone elses server and its doing the same sh*t.

It borring, i'd like to play with my son on our lan...

I made a test, this night, when i start DOL without any content (ie db, and only original scripts...) the world is empty but i can play with several clients on LAN.
Is it possible that something in dbs make impossible to connect with a client, or may be is it because of the weight of dbs?

prehaps the databases is using too much resources for your system to handle, try running the server and your client on different machines, or keepingn the console window in focus when people try to connect

Sorry, I still have the problem after reboot the two machines.
I start the server (i tried version 09-29 and 10-25) and the client on different machines. I have the same result when i use the dbs.
The server machine is an AMD64 3800+ and 1Go ddr400, so i found quiet weird that i miss ressources....even if the gameserver takes around 520Mo ram when started...
The client is a P4 2.8c and 5120 Mo ram

I made new tests.
I start with latest package of the DOL Server (10-25).
When i start it "empty" (no other stuff) I can play on several PC on may LAN.
Then I add on by one the DBS (exemple ability xml & xsd). The tests was OK.
There is a pb when i load with mob.xml (22Mo ~ : loaded 54000 mobs).
Somthing I saw : observing the server console, the oid of the client, with non custom db, the oid is =1, with the mob db, the oid =3401..
In this configuration, the client could not play and i have the message "Player ... went linkdead!" .
Does someone have any solution?
