Help! problem with new spell db

Postby tycone » Thu Nov 16, 2006 6:11 am

I downloaded the new spell package that was released on November 12th and I erased my old linexspell, spell, and spellline from the the database, I imported the new ones using navicat. When I tried to boot my server up it just sends me this message in the server console window everyminute "SpellLine: , 22635 spells" it keeps writing that message in gray, i left it at it for well over an hour and it still just kept saying the same thing over and over again but no error message nor does it stop the server.

'0008dc64-626c-493b-bea8-04d1d6028c43' pour la clef 1
C'est tout betement qu'elle est deja dedans donc en faite:

- T'a ta db spell imaginons, si t'essai de remmetre par dessu une autre db et que la clé existe deja il va te foutre une duplicata qui va bloké la requete sql...

- Le mieu, soit tu vide ton spell et tu lance toute t'es requete apres, soit tu trouve les doublons et tu les supprimes :) Sinon je voit pas trop. :)

Sry for other ppl for speaking french but i think is better for him to learn that...

If that's sarcasm you can plainly just fuck off. I'm sick of this 'title' bullshit people keep throwing at me.

Write what's wrong in english and I'll see what can be done; the database (newer one) was worked on by Tired for a LONG period of time, and if you can't understand that 4,000+ spells can give errors; you need to drop dead.

From what I understood in French there's a duplication error, which takes 1 second to fix; other than that... No idea.

Also now when I go back to using the database that I was using when the server worked now it gives me same error. Also I have tried that database with multiple servers and still I get same error.

I've not been able to reproduce this on my localhost using the lastest spell database that got released.

Therefor you're doing something wrong.

Use 1.8, not 1.7

*rolleyes*

Before you import any database, make sure you clear that database first, or you are in danger of getting duplicate entries, unless the SQL query is designed to overwrite it.

I am using 1.8 and I have been clearing the entire previous databases before importing.

Well I remember we had some GameTimer difficulties in DOL a few days ago, but if you download the latest SVN is it resolved?

I've tried everything to see what is being done to create that error and I cannot find out. Obviously something is being done wrong. Need more people to post here in order to figure out if something is wrong, as far as I know, those french people didn't clear their database entries and got duplicate entries.
