@Mob People/People who change mob speeds.

Deer_Hunter, Mico and others.

Can people PLEASE find out what the CORRECT standard mob speed is? Currently everyone is setting it to 200, where previously it was 191.

Please attempt to find the correct mob speed, when done - Tell me and >I< shall do the query to fix it. Thank you.

there is no unniversal mob speed, the speed varies on the type of mob, for instance mobs like accursed necros in DF run abit slower then sprint speed, whereas essence shredders run at like speed3 or something

I had set 200 as mob speed, because when playing in official server I saw that a standard mob will take you without sprint, but in sprint you'll loose him, so I think 200 can be good :P

@mico
Agree.

I'm not sure there's a list of mob speed anywhere. Unlike an agro list, of which there are a few.

I always guessed it was the same as a players normal speed, because on live if you melee a mob, then sprint for about a second (so that you're just out of melee range) he stays the same distance away from you, unable to attack you until eventually he gives up.

I think that's true.

To add, since the out of combat speed boost went in, if you sprint for a few seconds then stop sprinting the mob will follow at the same distance until the out of combat boost kicks in at which point the mob can no longer keep up.

There are some mobs, like giants, that have a faster running speed, but most are the same as the player.
