Project Update August 2007

Earlier this month, I stepped back as DOL's head administrator due to a burn out and working without the support of the community. The position was forced upon me because, frankly, there was no one else able to take the spot. However, my time had come to part ways with the position even if that meant leaving DOL without a leader.

After I stepped back, the remaining few core developers begain their search for a replacement, one with energy and maturity, we all came up with the same person and I've spent the last month getting to know the person, and making sure we are on the same wavelength with the direction we want DOL to be taken in.

Therefore, the new leader of DOL is: istandalonetoo (a.k.a. TheRyan). I wish him luck as the project's leader and also to all of his developers as they try to revitalize DOL. I will remain as a project advisor in order to facilitate decisions and help with the general upkeep of the website.

I will let him announce his short and long term goals, as well as introduce himself.
