DAoC Portal Client v2.1 Released

Thanks a lot to Metty for developing this release:

- Removed: The limitation of special characters in passwords.
- Removed: The limitation of zero length passwords in Custom Servers.
- Bugfix: Fixed an issue with the tray icon ghosting.
- Change: The code as well as the error handling has been restructured
- Change: Resized the main window (the server list is now larger)
- Change: DAocPortal will now minimize into the tray after connecting to a server
- Change: Starting a second instance of DAocPortal will show up the window of the first instance
- Change: Restructured the Settings Dialog and added a Client Info Panel
- Change: Redone URL-Handling (Args supported: -acc=, -pw=, -ql=)
- Added: DAoCPortal now supports quicklogins for each server (AccountMgr). Right-click on the quicklogin list to edit them.
- Added: Errors are now displayed in a proper error dialog
- Added: An Auto-Updater which is able to update the daoc portal client without reinstallation has been integrated
- Added: You now can 'minimize' DAoC Portal to a smaller size by clicking on the button in the bottom, right corner

Hi

I cannot install DAoC Portal 2.1, everytime i try it shows me this error beyond.



I reload and retried it 3 times, everytime the same error.
My PC is running with Windows Vista 32bit and got Frameworks 3.0 Installed.
DAoC Portal 2.0 caused no installation problems.

Is there a way to get DAoC Portal 2.0? or are there any working alternative to DAoC Portal 2.1?

Thx now i got a working DAoC Portal 2.1

Seems like no matter what I do I get that installation error. I tried .NET 3.0 and the latest 3.5 beta w/o any luck. If I try the .rar Metty included a link for I get a bunch of error messages too. I did try removing and reinstalling too

Edit: Tried DLing for the 3rd time and it worked for some reason.

I got this errors too!
Them caused by missing registry entrys because this upped package isn`t a installer, it`s the program folder.
To fix that problem install an older version of DAoC portal, and then extract the DAoCPortal_Release2.2.1 folder.
Now use the DAoCPortal.exe in the folder and u got a working DAoC Portal. v2.1

OMG please post on DOL forums i was nearly to pass through this update.

DaocPortal is great, thx Etaew and thx Metty for this works. The difference between 2.0 and 2.1 is awesome.
