Eden closes

We closed Eden.

It seems the actual community is the worse ever since dol exists, these people don't merit our freetime anymore.
I wish the best to dol project, and the power to cope with all these people who don't appreciate what is done here, insulting admins/gamemasters, but still exploiting their freetime in playing on freeshards, thinking playing here is a right...
No, it's a privilege ! And i don't even speak about cheaters...

Thanks dol, this was a great way to learn C# !

By the way. i know i am not known in the DOL community. but if you don't want to deal with the "assholes" i would be happy to host the server. thing is i love this game. and with a POPULATED server closing its just gonna hurt DOL, and Daoc community in general. Feel free to PM me or reply . i don;t expect you to say yes to this rediculas request, just that you give it some thought. i have the equipment and the CONN to handle well mroe then eden;s population. i also know a fair amount about DOL and howto run a server.. all your staff will still be staff

Yeah it was a great setup, great server, there are jackasses everywhere but it was certainly fun. Got myself, my wife, and at least one of my friends back playing again from the awesome setup. Tried a couple other freeshards and just can't get into them, so I guess back into retirement any chances of it's return?

hey ich weiß mein englisch ist wirklich nicht sehr gut ,.aber hoffe ihr versteht mich auch so ,. jaa der server und die leute die sich die mühe gemacht haben das am laufen zu halten waren wirklich gut ,. es hat halt spaß gemacht und ich finde es scheiße das wegen den ganzen asozialen cheatern der server drunter leiden muss ,. schade das man die leute nicht permanent bannen kann ,. mich würds freuen wenn der server wieder freigemacht wird ,. I VOTE FOR RETURN THIS SERVER

Dealing with jackasses is part of running a server it seems.

No matter what the server is, or how its setup, there will ALWAYS be a group of players hating it, or complaining/ruining it.

ich finde des mal kein grund den server dicht zu machen, nur weil paar komische kinder nicht wissen wie sie sich zu benehmen haben... OMG sowas gibts überall ob RL oder sonst wo UND vorallem im INET !!!! finde das sehr egoistisch und bereue es an Eden was gespendet zu haben

Hab auf eden viele nette Leute kennengelernt und hatte meistens Spass am spielen und mit denen die aus der reihe tanzten muss man sich ja nicht unbedingt abgeben... finds auf jeden fall sehr schade
