They are probably in a quest script somewhere.. Do they have a quest attached to them?

Yeah I just did a keyword search through the code and found Brice and Patrick both associated to a quest. Since I'm not doing any coding yet, I solved my issues with them by just swappng John and Patrick's spawn gloc's so that Brice and John aren't always fighting.

Ok so I'm barely into the albs portion of factions from Alakazam and I'm hitting a few brick walls. Who ARE the Dartmoor Grove Guardians? Killing Golstadt raises your faction with them but the faction list doesn't really say who they are. Up to this point I've kinda been going by the list of who you kill to lower faction to separate mobs into factions but it's a really sloppy way of doing it.

In Albion SI for instance, the many Drak races are listed in mutltiple factions as mobs you kill to lower faction, but they at least can kind of be separated by their clans, though a few named mobs appear in multiple lists and I've just arbitrarily left them in one of the factions that they fall under.

Are there any other sources for learning who is actually belonging to which faction besides Alakazam's faction listing?

Well in spite of a few empty factions, I'm about 60% done with the queries and have a complete faction db now thanks to the mindkayak site. I have all of Albion SI and classic areas done and factions linked. All the hib factions are done and I'm halfway through Midgard with DF and Atlantis to follow. Then I'll start linking the factions in those realms. Boy my wrists hurt!

There don't appear to be any Catecombs or LOTM factions thank goodness!

Well I've completely finished the faction.db and all the queries needed to assign the mobs their factions and I discovered soooo many missing mobs in the db. All of Atlantis is missing from my db as are the Dragon Sworn and even one whole hib faction, the Fairy Court. If anyone has a DB with these mobs point me to it!

Now comes the task of linking each faction to their friends and enemys which will involve me sitting in the server with a toon and typing /faction select and /faction addenemy and /faction addfriend for every faction that has friends and enemies. I won't be doing that tonight as I've already spent 12 hours just doing the queries.

I will also have to go back through the queries and combine them into one big query to distribute. Currently I have a separate query for each and every faction.

I'm not including the Atlantis and Dragonsworn queries at this time since those mobs don't exist in the db. The factions are already set in the factions.sql file though. I'll do SQL dumps of my linked factions later when I get them done, but feel free to grab these and start linking factions yourself with the Admin /faction addenemy/addfriend commands in the game.

Well being a newb to SQL I did what I could. Also, I'm not exactly sure if those mega queries will run as one query. I know the ; character means to execute the command so I'm not sure if you'll have to remove all but the last ; in each of those posted queries or if they'll run each change as posted.

I know I tested them and got no errors but since I had already run each and every faction query individually as I created them, there was no longer anything to change in my mobs.db when I ran the mega query. If you find they aren't changing everything, I guess you would either break them up into individual queries again on your end or edit out all but the last ;.
