AHH YES ok so i have gotten to the point of where i fixed the dolloader where it will not say check first perimeter..but now i got an accual error its says something like " no signature detected error 0-1" whats this meen?

We won't ban you if you just try to calm down a bit and argument reasonably about the problems you have got with DOL. We actually all want to help you as you should have found out already

Back to your error. The error message you receive from the loader now is just a warning and you should be able to hit OK and it will launch your client. The warning message is just there for backwards compatibility but it will be taken out in the future

So, what happens after you hit OK (on the warning dialog) and your client starts?

well if it takes 3 pages of threads, a few lines in uppercase (and i havent read the rest) to find out nearly everyone here in the forum tries to help... i just dont know what to say...

ok i will most defantly calm down and i thank all you you...ok when i hit ok the .exe does run but i still get the "Retrying..." 3 times and then" Cannot connect press ESC to exit" know whats wrong with that? or what i should change was thinking change my ip connection thing in connect.bat...i will update if it works

where can i get the most recent CVS build the only ones i can find is 2005-07-somthing and that doesnt seem to be th most recent whats DOL's Website address? cause http://www.dolserver.org cant be it or you guys realy need to update it...

ok so i messed with it a little more and i still get "Retrying..." and i look at the server CMD window and it gives the error "127.0.0.1 does not support client version 178 in ths server version" or something on them lines i though downgrading was supposed to fix that.....i hace downgraded cause i was at 180.....any ideas?

a: dolserver.org actually is the current website - and its up to date enough...

b: what version did you get - one from the 1950's?!?

get the latest build, that one supports 1.78 atleast - only the heads support 180 atm...

And you are right, the current binary build is not available on the homepage currently because we are in progress of going to a new homepage layout

In the above mentioned thread you will find the prebuilt binary and the source code ... you only need the "XXX_bin.zip" package (the "XXX_src.zip" is the source code and not of use for you unless you want to change and recompile DOL )

With this version it should work. Install it in a new fresh directory (don't just overwrite the old version because else you might get script incompatabilities or mixed up files...)

AHHH triple post sorry.....can someone tell me where i should put the xml at? i made a folder called DOL_DB and im not sure how that supposed to work got it from tourtouse or what ever someone help?

"xml_db" by default or whatever is set in serverconfig.xml's "DBConnectionString".

the hole folder or just the server config?...like i have downloadedabunch of xml folder in to a folder titled "DOL_DB" ok so should i take all them files the xml files and put them in xm_db?
