IRC acting very stange

Ok well I think we have a problem with the /ignore command over IRC. I talked to Sand about it and well. I would try to talk on the IRC and it will not show up at all. Not even on my bot. Yesterday it was just now showing up on Charzpiir (whom I was sending it from) then today It did it again and then on my bot. Relogging didn't fix it. Sand thinks it is /ignore.

i mean it can be effectively a side effect of this caharacter putted on /ignore list.

Finally a new type of /ignore: this function is directly muting the player :D :D

well :D

That was what I suspected could be happening.

Doesn't /ignore should work on one person's side, ie. i'm /ignoring YOU and so I don't see you on /irc, or can't hear you... YOU doesn't exist for me, but me only...
With Charz it's like she/he can't speak at /irc at all... It's more like muting her/him... It's something different. Taking rights to speak at /irc away from her/him...
And it's not right, by what I think... She/he is a one of persons who keep Storm alive...

Yes Pain, this is the case.

Either it is a bug, either she is muted. But i guess, in case of mute, she should she something warning her she is muted.

Or, she ignores herself AND seh is muted   :D

I have been taking my anger at my Rival. I havent said anything to be muted for :P

Painless you don't have to go he/she every time. Im a She. Things are cleared ^^

Yes painless that is how it it should work but with computer coding, strange things can happen totally unintended.

As I was speaking with Charz last night, she said she wasn't getting the message that she was muted. I will just have to log in and run a test.

Edit: I just tried doing an ignore of my bot, and she had no problem speaking in irc, oddly my bot's ignore of my main didn't seem to want to work. In any case, the main was a cleric, the bot a mentalist, both in alb si at the time.

ah perhaps the problem is here Sand, at plvl1, you can only ignore visible players - ie in our case our realm players -.

I checked it with my regular accounts not a GM account.

yes, this is perhaps why ignoring your menta with your cleric and viceversa is not working, b/c your cleric cannot /who to see your menta (and this is working wih plvl >1)

I'll have a look.

yes I found out /ignore only works for players that are 'Ingame'
