I would like to propose an idea. I personally don't like it, but... other people would. It's done on roughly all servers....
I'm proposing removing all i50 status from i50 players for the weekend...
Pros:
-Could help increase server population to help with bugs, gameplay, ect.
-Would bring more live-like grouping behavior with more people to implement harder things.
-More bug reports.
-RvR action.
-PvE action.
-No complaining about leveling for players seeking something like this, available only for 1 weekend and never again.
Cons:
-Instantly 50... they don't learn about the world.
-Horse routes and everything relating to the world would become obsolete, except for epic dungeons and mobs of course.
-Possibly less likely to group with lower level players.
-Complaining about their equipment.
I do understand there are a lot more cons and pros to this, but I'm just pulling out idea's right now. But the thing is, I would actually propose this to all players and the Staff to be implemented just for 1 weekend only. For players to have level 50's on Storm without leveling for once.

To attract more player this is really simple: continue our efforts, advertise Storm.
As we are all really busy, this is not simple actually.
I suggest we do a release plan with all the working things (CLs, bounty items, brain for epic mobs - even simple and efficient -, dragonslayer itemisation, artefacts ?) + newsletter, and i can assure the pop 'll grow quickly; but we have to be ready on our side, actually, when i browse the bugtracker, i think we are not ok for such a thing.
Allowing i50 is a bad idea:
- we lost the storm orientation; storm leveling is really part of the server and is a piece of cake
- we 'll not get any durable population - they 'll left as quick as they come, if they come (which i doubt)
Let's work on the release plan !

You know I'll work on as much as I possibly can. ^_^ CL's should be next considering they're somewhat finished. They're a lot easier than anything to implement at this point in time. Master Levels will still take a bit more time considering how much more there is. The Instance Dungeons are what's left of Catacombs and Darkness Rising. Also the loot templates for all mobs in Catacombs and DR. So there's quite a bit to do yet to get that released along with ToA. But for the most part ToA is populated with the mobs, loot templates and such. We only need the quests and mobs with the spells added to them and that would be it. But you are right. The more I look at what I just posted here, the more I have doubts that we would be ready for any changes like what I proposed or what you have proposed for that matter. But if we keep working at it, we'll get it.

And about the changes to anymore patches... I want to restrain myself from doing any updates to any patches as of right now with the amount of work we have yet to do on other things. If someone else would like to do that, your more than welcome to jump in and do the patch to current live.

i don't really know how are working the bounty merchants, but if they are another (long but reliable) way to validate MLs/artis, i think we can open ToA with this solution.

i don't really know how are working the bounty merchants, but if they are another (long but reliable) way to validate MLs/artis, i think we can open ToA with this solution.
Add bounty merchants for arti credit only for the time being. We do want players to spend a couple of hours in Atlantis and scrolls are easily farmable. Are the djinns all in place and working as intended?

To be honest. Although my team left a long time ago (we still exist, just not on DOL, or DAoC for that matter), the reason we played here wasn't just because we got a chance to kill a hacker with our pure skill, but because you didn't follow the path of the other servers. You carved your goal in stone, and took to it.
It's because you had a defined goal, and no matter how much we complained, or wanted a change that would benefit us, you kept professionalism above all, and drudged on.
For population, you need to focus of course on Marketing.
I would suggest someone throwing up a speedy torrent with LoTM patched properly, and keep the tracker Live.
That's the reason I haven't started playing again, it's just too much of a hassle to get up and running.
As far as getting the name out, you just need to do what I do for my company. Throw your name on web-rings, google search, link exchanges, so on so forth. Putting your name on places like craigslist, myspace, and facebook always help as well.
And of course, I am always available to help if needed, but I'm sure you can take care of it. ;]

That actually sounds good. It's up to Graveen and the others to think about that also. We don't follow the path of other servers for a reason... because we aren't other servers.

We're proud of what we do and how we do it. Getting it done is just getting closer and closer. Although some other people may think that we aren't and we're slacking and falling behind... its because we're actually focusing more on the problems than adding in more new things. But I would consider getting the name out that way. But as I said, it's up to the rest of the team to agree on that idea.

In future can I ask Server Team members to use the Server Team forum? I feel this should really be an internal discussion, it looks too much like we are suggesting in favour of it, which isn't the case.

maybe late reply but i geuss what would really help To attract more players that's the same server as live us for example ofc a lot of work lol
but possible there will be 800 players or maybe not
with everything in it that's on live of us
like ds campaigne, epic campaigne, etc
but for doing that is to much work lol i know that
