Siege Merchant

I've been attempting to put the siege weapon tokens on a merchant. I've used both a merchant I created and one already in game, but the item template id is not found. What's keeping the tokens from loading?

Sounds like the item template id not being found is the problem. Did you create the item template? Are you referring to it by the correct item template ID?

I've been using the one in the 1512 DB. Checked, double-checked. I know it's right as far as typing it in is concerned. I did look at both the itemtemplate and merchant tables just to be on the safe side. I just don't get it :( Has anyone gotten the tokens to work? The siege master npc is supposed to follow you around and place the weapon, but I was going at this one step at a time to see if the token itself would load.

if you go in game as admin and do /item findid <name of item> does it return any results?

It does return the result (field ballista token).

did/do siegemerchants ever work like live in BGs? Is there a script that i have not come across that can do this because that would be FANTASTIC! :)

No, there was never an npc that followed you around. The only implementation I've ever seen is you buy the token, go to a spot you want, and use the token to create the siege.

Actually from release you would have to buy the token then give it back to the siegemerchant and he/she would follow you out to where you wanted to place the weapon you purchased and then you would click him again and he would place it. Now they might have changed that in 2005-2006 because I never bothered playing in Lower BGs anymore I only RvRed. I guess maybe they changed it when it started turning into WoW-Daoc.

Yeah, I remember the siege merchant following you too, but I stopped playing live shortly after TOA came out, so I don't know exactly when they changed it. I hope someone gets this working, because the server I'm working on will make heavy use of the BGs.

Got the tokens on a merchant. For some reason, I can't load one at a time (with merchant articles), but with /merchant sell add, all of them load together. I'd love to see a script made to make a SiegeMaster in the portal keeps follow you around and drop the siege weapon like in the old days, but I know how far I'd get with it lol Maybe one of you guys has an interest.
