Storm supports 1.108.

I just found DoL and was trying to setup the server. Unfortunately since I'm just setting this up today the patcher updated to 1108. We moved deep into the mountains and do not have internet so patching won't be an issue once I have everything setup, but if I am unable to find a rollback, how difficult will it be to update the server I'm working on to be compatible with this latest patch. Guess it's just bad timing on my part, but would really like to get this setup for my kiddos.

I was able to get connect by using the 1103 rollback from here http://www.mediafire.com/?spuiwdif8tri9. Make sure your DAoC install is in the c:/Program Files directory or else the rollback patcher will not find the game.

As for setting up the server to accept the latest 1108 version of the game I am still lost myself and copying in the PacketLib1108.cs from sourceforge has only given me an error and a server shutdown.

There is a rollback 1.107 to 1.103 but not 1.108.
Please,please help me.

Hello, I put the DAoC folder in the program files as opposed to program files x86 and the 1.107 to 1.103 rollback couldn't find it still.. any suggestions? Thanks

Not imho, the support is in the SVN. Just let them update their servers.

Unfortunately I won't be making a 1.108 to 1.103 rollback, because as Roozzz said it isn't necessary. The whole purpose of the rollback was to give the various shard developers enough time to start supporting the latest client versions. I'd say they've had enough time, there has been five live patch cycles now, that's a long time. Someone else can feel free to start making a rollback patch if they want to but that would just be continuing the problem. The fact is, the support for the latest clients has always been added fairly quickly to the DOL core, and the code required for people to update their shards with it is publicly available. If the shard admins still feel it necessary to force their players to use an old client to connect, then they should also be obligated to provide a rollback or other means themselves, or they can just add the support for the new clients each time the core does. If you play on storm you do not need a rollback. If you play elsewhere, please request from your favorite shard admins that they add support for the newest clients.

Why not play on a shard that supports 1.108 in the mean time?

I think Storm only supports 1.108 and I'd rather bang my head against a wall than play on that server =/

What do you don't like to this server? Is the most updated with live servers. You can play i25, i50 or maybe leveling (most recommended). I'm sure that Uthgard will update soon, you can play some time on Storm or do not play anywhere. Your choice.
