Different client versions on one server.

Different problems happens (some of them when players try to grouping) because the players have different client versions.
Is there no way to allow only one client version on the server?

yes there is, but sadly you have to compile the server core to enforce those rules. We try to keep DOL compatible with clients that can work together. The latest CVS builds fixed some bugs when players of 1.68 grouped with 1.69 or 1.70 players ... this should work fine again now ...

Yeah grab the current CVS. 1.69+ clients can see how much endurance players have in their group. This was causing 1.69+ clients to crash to the desktop, but its fixed now.

The only other BIG difference is in 1.70 the fronteirs have been moved to a different unified region and the border forts have moved like 1000 yards closer to their home mainland. This, of course, means the clients are seeing the border forts in different locations. This is a compelling enough reason to upgrade to 1.70.

First, sorry to post in an old message, I prefere this cause I have a same problem.

I want to play with Catacombs, but my client (1.73) don't see my server (with ToA 1.70 I've no problem).

How can I modify the server rules to play with this version ?

is your server see connection?
is your cleint retry?4 times and exit?
becaus e173 is handled on current server so no reason to have that...
so have you check your firewall?
have you change your ip?
or something like that...

I post a french message here.

I don't chage anything in ip.

I just copy my ToA launcher in my Catacombs launcher, and I log with ToA without any problem.

Maybe my launcher is not supported 1.73 but I've the last one on the Dol's site.
