Tides Of War Development Stage

Tides Of War

The server is playable but not nearly complete!
We have not added our server to DAOC Portal because its still in development.

We are looking, in essance, to build a small team interested in creating a unique and interesting playing environment, using the DolServer as a base, this will be an active group, and will meet on a irc (yet to be set up) for weekly discussions.

Currently we are in the process of setting up all the battlegrounds to offer a intense questing/Pve/Rvr environment, including Unique OTD's and crafting drops as well as numerous epic like encounters geared towards rvr groups of the battleground's level.

We have the following postions available.

Dataquest Designer / Developer.

This position will deal with all the new quests, we need someone with an imagination, and also someone who is brave enough to mess with the dataquest table.

Encounter Developer.


This position will be in charge of populating zones with both mob's to grind/farm/level on as well as scripting encounters, and of course will deal with creating items for these encounters.

More positions may open as time progresses, but for now this is it.
I will also be willing to teach someone who is intuitive, how to perform the above tasks, i just need people who listen, work as a team, and have a bit of time to donate.

Were in our development stage.

Hate to be a killjoy but do you realize how much of a waste of money the two separate server thing is? I don't even think uthgard does that and they're the highest grossing population that the shards will ever have.

More secure, you mean externalizing your database assets so you have to leave the security of a single machine to go get them..?

Why do you care that much? I'm not going to continue to explain how I have my servers setup.
