Hi folks,
I've been in and out of DOL for a while now and I thought I would look at the Quest generators and maybe build a few quests. The problem is that it seems there are about as many Quest scripts included with the server files as there were about 5 years ago. is everyone more interested in RVR? and not quests? I don't see many user files with quest scripts.
I do see that some folks have created quest generators and it would seem to me to be an important part of Game play. take the wow EMU servers for example... thousands of quests. make it more fun imo.

so is it worth trying to get an old Queest generator working and going through DAOC head to figure out some new quests? or am I missing the part where you all say "the DOL servers we play have lots of quests and the server admins keep adding more".. ok then that's cool I'll do something different.

quests have been mostly reworked as Data Quests.. as in they are managed in the database and not through scripts, there are a few articles on them, and i think a mostly working dataquest generator. you may take a look there, im not sure any publicly made database has many quests of any at all at the moment.

Yes, now quests are embedded into the database. DataQuestBuilder is iirc the tool we could use. I started a revamp last year, but i was lost in the way

Graveen, ive been working on a new DQB though its still early in production to show off, what language is the current scripted in maybe i could use it as a base or just swich to revamping it
