RUST

Rust is a brutal game with a terrible group of players, however the latest Rust engine is magnificent in detail and look plus the ability to build.

So here I come in, looking for something different, and I discover you can run Rust with mods using a plugin from Oxide. These plugins are mostly written in C#. I grab a few plugins, Hunt RPG, HumanNPC, and TruePVE, I make a few modifications and BAM, a Rust PVE server with Human NPC's.

I am certainly not the first Rust PVE server, the most popular is in the UK, but if you're interested and have Rust sitting around from a year or so ago when it was on sale for $5 then you are welcome to try it out.

Server name is Storm PVE.

You can go to PlayRust.io and search for it. Direct link: http://playrust.io/map/?74.133.14.52:28017

Not much there except for building and hunting. Hunt RPG tracks your progress and you can increase various skills to help with chopping wood or mining but there are no quests or anything else to really make it a game. There are two very aggressive NPC's up by the Sphere tank, Fred and Wilma, who will try to murder you, but no other NPC's are in game yet. Also beware of bears and wolves, Bears take 6 bullets to down so just plain avoid them at all costs. :D

I stopped it for now, not enough customization to make it fun for me and the map generator they have doesn't provide enough options. They are so close to providing a true sandbox game but apparently aren't interested.

I always wondered how much customization is possible? I guess the API probably moves around a lot at the moment as they add/remove features?

Also Tola, if you want RUST PvE, try out The Forest. That's a pretty fun game and I'd be glad for a coop partner :)
