Wow, i probably seem retarded for asking this but i figured out my first problem...lol, kinda obvious.... but now when i goto join the game it tells me my client is not supported, any help would be appreciated and please dunt flame, me a complete newb....

You forgot to tell your client version. 1.68 to 1.73 should work, there was some guide in documentation on how to update you client (and much more usefull information).
