Weight of arrows and bolts

Postby alex_speed » Mon Feb 07, 2005 8:47 pm

Hi,

I've seen that the weight of arrows and bolts doesn't fit with the live servers but in dol we can't put a number below 1, so I'm not able to set the correct value (1.0 lbs /20arrows-bolts)

Does anyone here have a solution?

ps : I'm using mysql as a database.

In officials server 20 arrows weight 1lbs but if you put one in each slot you can see of your 20 arrows weight 0.

For the moment in dol you can't do that, in official server one stack of 2 arrows weight 0,1lbs but 1 arrows weight 0.

I will try to do it in the new inventory system ...

It's 0 because it doesn't show more tha 0.0xx (don't know how to say in english) right weight of one bolt/arrow is 0.05 lbs (0.05*20=1.0lbs) but it doesn't show "le centième" (1/100)

No, you are wrong, i have tested it last night.
20 arrows = 1lbs, 2 arrows = 0,1 lbs but 1 arrows = 0lbs (and not 0.05lbs !!! and it's not 0 because it doesn't show more than 0.0xx)

It's just a mathematical calculation and it fit with what you said.. You told that one arrow = 0lbs how can you say that it's not because it does not show more than 0.0xx ? We can't see that.

If 1 arrow = 0.0 lbs, 2 arrows = 0.1 lbs, 20 arrows =1.0 lbs then 1 arrow might be 0.05 lbs because 0.05 + 0.05 = 0.1 (weight of two arrows) and 0.1*10 =1.0 lbs weight of 20 arrows.

How can you explain that it's wrong?

There are plenty of numbers Mythic don't show to players. For example 2 more digits of weapon spd and dur higher than 100.

Yes ok, i will give you an example, it will be more simple to explain ^^.

My total inventory weight = 50lbs then i buy 20 arrows, my Total inventory weight is now 51lbs and i set in each slot 1 arrows and my total inventory weight in now = 50lbs. But if i stack arrows 2 by 2 my total inventory weight become = 51lbs

It why i said 20 arrows = 1lbs, 2 arrows= 0,1 lbs and 1 arrows =0lbs. In conclusion i am sure the mythic server weight is calculated like in dol (only 1 number after the comma) and there is a special test for bolt and arrows.

Ok I understand now, but maybe it's a bug. No one will do that because scout, ranger, hunter always stack their arrows.
Have you tried to put one arrows in each slot you have and see if your weight increase (more than 20)?

Lol no it's not a bug, i am sure of what i say !!! I just test with 40 arrows and it's exactly the same thing !!!

2 stacks of 20 arrows => 60lbs, 20 stack of 2 arrows => 60 lbs, in each slot 1 arrows => 58lbs so the weight is calculated with 1 number after the comma!!!

Bah at Mythic... Think it would be ok to use 2 digits after comma but do whatever you want...

Thing is that if item weight is modified like it is now, when all those arrows are collected back in one stack their weight will be zero. I don't like this at all.
