Did they steal software? They are talking about stealing itellectual property i.e. virtual designs copyrighted, which if your not in the US is also protected by the Berne Convention as an artistic work I think. Although we are safe for the moment because of things I can't go into, it is something that does weigh on my mind, but some conflict is there because of a letter a while ago from Mythic granting permission of one case to someone to use our software. When I contacted them recently about this they pretty much ignored me, so I could not get any clarification. I'm glad that they opened up client downloads for free as this protects us further.

Pretty much every server ran the leaked NCSoft Software when L2j was still lacking in terms of content. Nowadays the smart Lineage 2 shard owner is using L2j but I guess theyre still attackable for ever using leaked software.

Yes, they stole the server data right off the server to run their Real Servers (Not really a custom shard) but ya. Just thought I'd let you all know

The C4 serverfiles were leaked too...and people including l2x started using them...This is what caused the aggression...In the past they have all either used L2J or modded C1 files, and nc soft never really bothered with that...Since you can only get to a certain point when modding files without having the source... When C4 was stolen or leaked w/e, they felt threatened...and with good reason lol...
