install server, start server

create a batch file in your game directory
put this line in the batch file:
@start game.dll 127.0.0.1 10300 anyusername anypassword

double click the bat to start the game.

Open notepad and type in:

@start game.dll 127.0.0.1 10300 anyusername anypassword

Then save the file as DOL.bat
(note: Replace "anyusername" with the username you want and "anypassword" with the password you want)
Double click on it and enjoy.

that means you probably have a bad game.dll file, patch up to the latest version (the normal way)

A friend of mine had teh same trouble when she tried to connect to a DOL server on her main computer. But on her laptop everything worked just fine.
My guess its something buggy with your windows.
