Where's all the action Ryan? What are you doing in there so quietly?

Well, I've been spending the last few weeks trying to get DoL into an organized structure. I have been communicating with old DoL devs, new people, other server admins, and more of the like attempting to get a feel of what the Official DoL has as resources. Surprisingly, there is a large base of people and old developers willing to help bring DoL back to life.

So here is what I see in the next month or so. We should get the larger DAoC features into DoL. For example, MLs, CLs, artifacts, etc. These aren't minor issues, these are things that are essential in making DoL truly emulate DAoC. Most of this stuff has already been done by the masses and will not be hard to place into Official DoL.

Two examples from the top of my head:

Sumy is combining the best of Dams33's work with the work of his team at i50 and placing it into a version of DoL. From there, one of the core developers can look over the changes and upload the changes into the Official SVN.
Ichijin has been doing the same with his BG, artifact, and Guild/Housing code. We will look it over and then upload it to SVN.

I know that many more of you are working on stuff and thinking about making it publicly available. So, place your finished (does what it is suppose to do and doesn't have glaring bugs) into a fresh SVN version and make a post announcing it. I have asked a few developers to help assist looking over code and uploading it.

This whole process shouldn't take too long /pray.

One last thing. I'm going to try to post some type of update or announcement every other week to keep yall updated!

You need to add "Making a shrine for Overdriven" in that list.

I've had quite a few concerns about just focusing on features right now and not looking into optimizations. Well, that's not completely true - I am looking into optimizations so don't fret. However, there aren't many of the old developers left and that puts me at a loss for people to do optimizations. But, there still are plenty of people coding the features that are missing (like MLs, CLs, etc). Therefore, I'm using this as an opportunity to see which people will step up and become developers. Hold on people, we're just starting :).
